Helena Sand & Gravel Wins Industry Awards

Helena Sand & Gravel (HS&G) recently received
three 2009 Concrete Excellence Awards from
the Montana Contractor's Association Concrete
Division. The company placed first in the
Industrial/Commercial $1 Million category as the
concrete supplier for the Skate Park Expansion
project, and in the Water/Sewer/Utilities category
as the general contractor and concrete supplier
for the Fort Harrison Helicopter Dip Station/Firefighting Point. Both projects involved unique
applications and required extensive teamwork,
research and preparation.
HS&G also received a 60-year membership
award. Through the years, HS&G and the Montana
Contractor's Association have relied upon each other
as partners in many areas of the construction industry.
This tradition will continue to be a foundation of both
organizations' success for years to come.

In addition, The Diamond Achievement Commendation
from the National Asphalt Pavement Association was
awarded for the new Lake Helena Drive pit asphalt
facility that was installed in early 2009. The plant
produced 85,000 tons in its first season. The award
demonstrates HS&G's commitment to excellence as a
responsible hot-mix asphalt producer and neighbor. |
