Shelly Employee Says “Thank You” from Iraq
An Oldcastle employee is
thanking us, when really
we should be thanking
him. In an effort to show
their appreciation for our
troops, Shelly Twinsburg
Division employees took
up a collection of everyday
items that we may take for
granted, such as coffee
mugs, snack food, socks,
etc., and sent seven care
packages to employee family
members serving overseas.
Package recipients included
two Twinsburg employees,
David Zika, heavy equipment
operator, and Bill Gearo,
asphalt plant foreman.
Coincidentally, Zika and
Gearo are in the same
platoon in Iraq. Below
is a letter Zika sent to the
Twinsburg staff thanking
them for their generous and
thoughtful gesture.
