AWARDS
Mountain Enterprises Wins Best State
Safety Record for Two Consecutive Years
Mountain Enterprises, Inc. was recently recognized by
the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors, Inc.
for having the best safety record in plant operations.
The 2009 award marks the second year in a row it
achieved this honor. The award was based on frequency
rate of total lost-time accidents as compared to total
man-hours worked. All hours worked in concrete and or
asphalt plants were used to calculate the rate. Mountain
Enterprises logged 84,648 safe work hours.
"Thanks for everyone's hard work and safety first
attitude. We look forward to another successful year
in plant operations and to reaching the same success
throughout the Mountain Companies," said Bret
Summers, vice president of construction and estimating.
Congratulations to the entire team!
