Concrete Wins
Local Award
In the spirit of the past holiday season, Central
Washington Concrete, Wenatchee, Wash., part of
Oldcastle's Northwest Division, displayed a mixer truck
in the Flake Festival Parade. Six employees – Keith
Grubb, Scott West, Bob Mikelson, Chad Gutzwiler, Jake
Holt and Steven Spies – worked enthusiastically for
seven hours to attach 60 strands of Christmas lights to
the truck. As a result of their hard work, the employees
of Central Washington Concrete took home the coveted
2009 "Flashiest Flake Award" sponsored by the City of
Wenatchee Parks Department.
